In an exclusive interview with BitcoinCasinos.com, Ricky Hatton speaks about his upcoming stint on Dancing on Ice. The former welterweight champ opens up about how preparations are going for the show and picks a surprising favourite to win the competition.
Hatton’s surprising pick to win Dancing on Ice
Hatton skips ski jumper favourite Eddie the Eagle & picks a surprise outsider to bag the Dancing on Ice trophy;
Ricky Hatton: “You’d expect Eddie the Eagle would be pretty good on the ice & be favourite but Ryan Thomas is very, very good.
He’s been training down at Altrincham where I’ve been training and he’s been putting me to shame a little bit. Ryan’s a good friend of mine, I think he’s got a good chance here {to win}.”
Dancing on Ice rivals are ahead of me already!
The competition is just a week away but the hitman is already feeling the heat, admitting his skating skills are way behind his celeb rivals;
Ricky Hatton: “We went to London to do a masterclass where we met Torvill and Dean and met your rivals, it was great.
The worrying thing was, they all seem to be a little bit ahead of me progress wise.
They all say ‘it’s my first time too.’ But you know that they’ve done a little bit more. They’re out there doing twirls and spins and jumps and everything like that. My Dancing on Ice partner is called Robin, she’s really, really good.
Yesterday was our first time on the ice together and it was brilliant.
Skating’s hard enough, but I thought, I’ve now got to learn the routines and the moves. I wouldn’t say it was perfect, but I was surprised how well I did. I found the actual gliding and skating harder than the moves!”
I’m out there staggering around on the ice like I’ve had about 20 pints!”
