Ethereum continues to dominate the non-fungible token (NFT) market after generating $32Million in just 24 hours. The main contribution to the value was made by CryptoPunk #7804, which sold for just over $16m.
This is the equivalent of 4,850 ETH, meaning the blockchain now ranks in second place of CryptoPunks. It is the highest ever value recorded. The huge surge in sales has seen the overall value reach $43.3bn.
In contrast, rivals Bitcoin and Solana have recently reported a decrease in sales – but still sit in second and third place in the market. Bitcoin decreased by 12% to $10.26m.
Solana confirmed a decrease of 17% to $6.39m. All in all, Bitcoin’s all-time sales volume stands at $2.91bn with Solana at $5.25bn. The latter are in second place in the all-time sales ranking.
Ethereum Value And Price Prediction
The current Ethereum value stands at $3,562.51 – a change of 4.89% over the past 24 hours. If we look at forecasted future Ethereum values, ETH’s minimum price by 2028 will be $19,678.03 with an average of $20,386.96.
A year later, the minimum price will be $29,678.03 with the average at $30,493.95. In 2030, the minimum price is expected to be $44,091.59 with the average at $45,615.44.
By 2031, a huge surge in price is predicted for ETH. The minimum sits at $64,637.54 with the average at $66,917.31. The maximum will be a whopping $77,047.29.
Ethereum Founder
11 years ago, Ethereum was conceived by computer programmer Vitalik Buterin. The Canadian is not only a co-founderr of ETH, he also co-founded Bitcoin Magazine in 2011.
Additional co-founders include Gavin Wood, Charles Hoskinson, Anthony Di Iorio, and Joseph Lubin. Wood is the only name alongside Buterin listed as one of ETH’s original authors.
The network itself went live in July 2015 after a crowdfunding practice helped get ETH off of the ground. Buterin claims that he was driven to create decentralized money when he used to play World of Warcraft.
